Hey all,

i'm desperately searching for the Ansys WindModeller Package for simulating wind farms. The tool is used in this presentation held by Ansys:
http://www.ansys.com/staticassets/AN...ngUsingCFD.pdf

But I couldn't find it on the website, even not in the Customer Portal.

Can anybody help me, where to get it? Thanks for your help.

Best regards,
Matthias

You will need to contact ANSYS support. It sounds like you will need to go into some form of useage agreement or licensing to get it, so it does not sound free.

Hi Matthias,
were you able to contact the ANSYS support for some information on the WindModeller Package?
Is it available?

Francesco

Hey Francesco,

actually i have some information: The windmodeller is some kind of an addon and two versions are existing:

1. A free version, which you can upgrade to your existing ansys cfx. For getting that, contact the ansys support and then they extend your contract with the windmodeller and give you the download instructions. This version is a very basic version, e.g. for site assessment. I think, there is no rotor model implemented.

2. full version with all features. For that version, you have to pay, but i have no information, how much it is.

Hope that helps,
Matthias
