Hi all.
In monitor points and expressions, a "functionName(VariableName)@<Location>" syntax is often used, but <Location> parameter is underdocumented. I know I can use any body or surface or interface name from the tree list in CFX-Pre (F34.67 and the like). But how do I specify a new custom location, such as a line by 2 points? I need it to monitor average velocity at a custom location. Thank you. |

In output control just set up a new monitor point in Cartesian coordinates (or whichever coordinate system you like)

You cannot define a line in CFX-Pre; therefore, nothing can be monitored on such locator.
Line locators are available in CFD-Post, but not CFX-Pre, nor CFX-Solver. |
