Hello,
I simulate one passage of stay vane and guide vane and one runner passage. Normally, i use an average static pressure in outlet (located at a reasonable distance below the runner) in order to allow to the pressure profile to vary but i would like to know the context in which a boundary condition of radial equilibrium is used ? Also, if i put a boundary condition of radial equilibrium and that this is not the case in reality, this will involve a specific case of this condition that is dp/dr = 0 meaning constant static pressure. Is that right ? Moreover, I read on this post (http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/cfx...ressure-2.html) that the radial equilibrium theory is only valid in the blade passages but it's wrong no ? For me, it's only valid upstream and downstream of the blade passage because all transport in radial direction are rightly done in this region. Thank you for your help |
