Mixing Efficiency of Static Mixer

I've modeled and meshed a simple static mixer and I want to find the efficiency in which it mixes two fluids of equal properties. Diffusion will take a very small role in the mixing; I'd be using viscous fluids in an attempt to model the mixer geometry's effectiveness at optimizing advection. My initial thoughts were to somehow inject a tracer at the inlet of the mixer, and measure the concentration of the tracer at the end of the mixing element, similar to what is shown in the video below. However, I'm only concerned with the overall performance rather than visualizing the process.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pr_QiQADlMM Ultimately, I'd want to create a cascade of these mixing elements and measure the mass fraction at the end of each element. I have very little experience in CFDs, and the complexity of the program is daunting and I'm not even sure where to begin. |

Do the tutorials. Solve some benchmark simulations and compare against reliable results. After you can accurately solve benchmark simulations similar to the real problem you wish to simulate only then start your actual simulations on the real problem.

hi every body. How Can I define a complicated relation like this in fluent:
a^2=(1/n)*sum(Ci-C)^2 where C is the mean value of the concentration field and Ci is the concentration for ith cell in the cross sectional area of outlet, n is the number of grid points in outlet |
