How to plot the change of the MEAN fluid temperature in flow direction?

Hi everybody,
first of all, sorry for any grammatical mistakes, I am a non-native English speaker.
So I am currently working on a heat transfer simulation for single-phase flow in a straight heat exchanger, and would like to know how to plot the change of the MEAN fluid temperature in flow direction?
I already calculated the average fluid temperature at the duct inlet (cross-section) by using the expression:

areaAve(Temperature)@Inlet

where "Inlet" is a created plane at the duct inlet. After that, I defined the expression above as a variable which I used in the GRAPH command in order to plot the graph. The LINE command is already included here.
However, I was not able to get any results, instead, I got the warning that no data exists for the variable (in this case the area averaged Temperature)

If you want to get the average temperature at number of cross sections you need to define cross section planes at each location and do the areaAve on each one. This can be pretty tedious, so use a session file to help automate the process.

Also graphing the results of this in CFD-Post will be difficult. I would export the results to a text file and graph it in another application (excel, matlab, whatever you like).

I must say that I am still quite unexperienced with ansys.
Could you tell me roughly how to use the session file?

The easiest way to get started with session files is to record a session file in CFD-Post and do a few of the tasks you want to do. Then load the session file in a text editor and see the format. You can edit the text file to do whatever you like from there.
