Hi. I've finished simulating a 3-stages axial compressor model, and I have a question for calculating torques for each stage.

I know the way to calculate the whole torques for the compressor model, but I wonder that it's possible to calculate torques for each stage using turbosurfaces.

Are there better ways to calculated each stage's torques?

Hi. To do such thing, you could create named selections in the mesher, which include the fluid faces in contact with the blades. You can create one named selection for each stage, called Blades1, Blades2 & Blades3 and set up expressions like these in the Pre :

Torque1 = torque_z@REGION:Blades1
Torque2 = torque_z@REGION:Blades2
Torque3 = torque_z@REGION:Blades3

Of course you will have to multiply the values if you have some periodicities...

Hope it helps.
