Hi all
The main fluid domain is splited into several domains where there are Fluid-Fluid interfaces between them. I have set a thermal radiation model to the fluid domain (Monte Carlo, Gray). I have no idea about how to model the thermal radiation on the fluid-fluid interface in the corresponding CFX tab. I have set up the domain interface tab as follows but I dont know which parameter to set on thermal radiation, Basic Settings -> Interface Type: Fluid Fluid Interface Side 1: Domain #1 Interface Side 2: Domain #2 Interface Models: General Connection Additional Interface Models -> Mass And Momentum: No Slip Wall Heat Transfer: Conservative Interface Flux Interface Model: Thin Material / Steel / 0.001[m] Termal Radiation: ????????? In the "Additional Interface Models" tab I don't know what to put in "Heat Transfer" and "Thermal Radiation" for temperatures convergence. if you have documentation, tutorials or know how this problem can be resolved please let me know. thank you very much in advance. |

You are creating a thin wall to separate two regions of fluid.
The interface models available for thermal radiation are - The thin wall is transparent to radiation w/o any attenuation, i.e. Conservative Interface Flux - The thin wall is opaque to radiation; therefore, you must set the emissivity and diffuse fraction on either side of the wall. Hope the above helps, |
