Hi Everybody,
I am trying to simulate tank sloshing in roll motion. I successfully simulated tank sloshing given the periodic surge motion. But when i am give roll motion i am getting error. I am using CFX. The tank is given specified displacement. I am using cylindrical coordinate system. Following the expression i am using A = 0.17 [rad] Amplitude = if (t<=8[sec], A, 0[rad]) disp = Amplitude*cos (omega*t)*1[m]/1[rad] the error i am getting is ATTACHED IN FILE. |

Hi,
It clearly says your mesh is of pour quality. Try some inflation layers on the walls if you dont have them allready. You dont have any mesh deformation enabled, do you? I mean because of the posibility to colapse the mesh near moving walls |

My guess is:
+--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | ERROR #002100027 has occurred in subroutine cNWDIST. | | Message: | | At least one highly skewed element has been detected on a wall | | boundary, leading to an unreliable near-wall distance calculation | | for the turbulent wall functions. The solver will continue | | to execute, but convergence and/or accuracy may be affected. | | Please consider improving the mesh quality. The coordinates of | | the element face are ( -0.3102E-02, 0.2000E+00, -0.1831E-02 ). | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ but it's just a guess. |
