Hi,
I would like to write an expression for energy source in CFX-Pre using Cell volume. Can I write an expression as below? Density *Volume of Finite Volumes*Cp*Delta T0 Values of Cp and Delta T0 are constants which I know apriori. Does the variable 'volume of finite volumes' give me volume of cell? Pls let me know. Thanks in anticipation. Regards, Deb |

Not sure what you are trying to achieve, but the source value in ANSYS CFX is the source strength per unit volume. The software will multiply by the proper volume depending of the discretization details within it.
If the source is evaluated within a fraction of the cell, the software will accommodate the correct volume; however, you may not know when the source is evaluated in the control volume or in the element. |
