Hi Guys....
I am doing modelling and simulation of of a no k-factor vco nozzle.I have to find Cd of this by varying the needle lift .I have used SST (because k-epsilon and bsl k-epsilon gave error code 1 on solver manager). My Re value was 9980... Now I am modelling cavitation for the same.I am using ANSYS CFX 14.5 and Rayleigh-Plesset Model for cavitation modelling....My Cd is reducing from the no cavitation case...It came down from 0.65 to 0.57....I am getting cavitation near the entrance of outlet pipe and at the outlet face... My question is can you guys please give me a trend of the cavitation behaviour w.r.t needle lift... or in simple words "what will happen to the cavitation areas and its magnitude as the needle lift is increased"will it increase /decrease??? Waiting for replies DRN |

How am I meant to know that? I have no idea what your geometry or flow looks like. I don't have telepathy.
Try posting an image of your geometry and the flow conditions and we will see what we can do. |
