Hi,
I am a beginner with CFX. I'm working on an axial pump (one stage : rotor + stator). No problem with CFX-pre in turbo mode (I redefined all the boundaries and interfaces) , no problem with CFX solver (only run 100 iterations, just to have an idea of the solution), but when I want to "initialise all components" in turbo mode of CFD-Post I only obtain this message "WARNING Cannot initialize component 'Component 2' in domain 'S1'. Please verify that the rotation axis and turbo regions are set correctly." So I tried to "uninitialize" S1, and I obtain this second message "ERROR Cannot find turbo variable 'Streamwise Location'. Turbo mode may not be initialized properly." Can you help me? Does the problem come from CFX-Pre (my mistakes?)? Does the problem come from the run is not converged? How can I fix it? Thanks Véronique |

On the internet I only find that http://www.eureka.im/3628.html
" When taking the same case from Turbo Pre (not entering General Mode) > Solver > into Turbo Post the Turbo Report fails to load and Turbo Post issues an error message similar to the following one: ================================================== ======== WARNING Failed to initialize component 'Component 1' in domain 'R1' for conversion type 'Cartesian to Turbo'. ERROR Cannot find turbo variable 'Streamwise Location'. Turbo mode may not be initialized properly. ERROR Cannot evaluate 'minVal' on 'Streamwise Plot of Pt Line' as it does not have points. ================================================== ========= PROBLEM: Turbo Pre writes incomplete TURBO POST DATA information when CFX-Pre is restarted in Turbo Mode using a def file. |

Hi Veronique,
Greetings. I was wondering if you got answer to this problem. I am facing something similar, i.e. after completing the solver run, when i am taking the model to cfd post and trying to generate the "centrifugal compressor rotor report", i am getting below pasted error: "ERROR Cannot find turbo variable 'Streamwise Location'. Turbo mode may not be initialized properly." Any pointers would be highly appreciated. Ps. I am newbie in cfx and cfd too. Thank you. |
