Hi
I simulate the heat transfer in a channel with steady state setting & 1000 iteration
after that i do the same simulation in transient mode with total time:400 & timestep:0.01
but i still didn't reach the steady state data
can any body help me in time setting for transient??

This FAQ discusses these sort of issues a little bit: http://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/Ansys...gence_criteria

Are you sure your simulation is steady state anyway? It will never converge with a steady model if the flow is actually transient.

I simulate a channel with a blade in it.at first the blade is steady afTer that i do the simulation for rotating blade
So i do the first part with steady state setting and it converges.
But i do it again with transient to know the approximate total time for the case of moving blade.
But it take long time and still didn't converge.

Can you post an image of what you are modelling?

Have you read the FAQ I linked to in the first post? All the issues you should be looking at are described there.
