I am dealing with coal combustion problem, 500MW coal fired boiler analysis. I use 119G SSD hard disk, 12 cores, intel i7-4930K@3.40GHz ,64bit window 7 OS and 64G memory computer. The problem has 2.2milion nodes and I am using 11 cores, platform MPI Local Parallel. The problem is that it runs but very slow. Does anyone give me some tips or any advice, such as parallel method, number of cores, advanced options? I already did Intel MPI but it also shows slow calculation. It show 40 iterations for 3 days! Representative coal particle numbers are 5000. Does radiation coarsening rate affect much to calculation? I am using default, 64.I use ANSYS workbench and ANSYS CFX 15.0.

I write reply by myself. I searched my problem in this cfx forum. I found some valuable information here. I will reduce the number of particles and change several parameters first and try to solve my problem. Thank you for reading my problem.
