Liquid Variables in Solid Domain

Hi,
I am trying to simulate a CHT problem. I want to add a source term on the interface between solid and liquid domain. The source term is a function of different liquid variables (say Liquid.T, Liquid.Density, etc...). The liquid-side interface has no problem with it. The problem is with the solid-side interface. CFX reports an error about the prefix Liquid.Density for example. My question is: how can I use liquid variables in the solid domain ? Is there a way of coupling those variables into the source Term on the solid interface ? Regards |

As you see the density in the fluid is not transferred to the solid domain.
You could make an additional variable which you set equal to the density and make it diffusive in the solid domain. Then the density will "diffuse" into the solid domain and you should be able to use it in CEL expressions. But why not apply the source term on only the fluid side of the interface? Why do you need to apply it on the solid side as well? The two sides of the interface are coupled together so you should only have to apply it once. |
