Hi.
I have always thought that the streamlines in ANSYS CFD Post, looks too un-natural. I would like to changes the reprensentation to be more realistic. I have attached two videos showing what CFD Post looke like, and what I want to have: ANSYS CFD Post Streamlines with symbols What I want to have. A stream of continuing particles starting from different points Anyone know if it can be done in CFD Post? |

The difference appears to be your CFD-Post animation has the particles released over an area simultaneous versus a continuous random distribution. So is your question how do you seed the streamline particles with a continuous random distribution?
Not sure off the top of my head - you might have to use a session file to generate a pseudo-random sequence over the starting patch - that is, have the "random" sequence hard coded in a script. You might be able to use the random function in perl to generate this. |

No, but you can disable the streams themselves and keep only the "particles"/symbols visible, and also decrease the delta between particle release to get something closer to what you want. Those options are 'Symbol > Show Streams' and 'Symbol > Interval' on the streamline details.
