Piotr Zwolinski is on a distinguished road
Hi Everyone,

I am trying to make a 2D simulation of vertical-axis wind turbine in CFX, and I have problem.

My supervisor told me I have to make two domains- firts - a circle with cutted-out turbine shape; and second - a rectangle with cutted circle (for frits domain).
Then I clicked "thin/surface" (My CFX does not maje 2D analise).
I made mesh for both domains.
And there is a problem in Solver.
I tried to make rotating domain, but there's always an error.
Could someone help me with that problem?
I am beginner in Ansys.

Errors:
ERROR #001100279 has occurred in subroutine ErrAction.
Message:
Error number 1 found in subroutine CHECK_INIT. Interface
Default Fluid Fluid Interface" connects a rotating and stationary domain, but has no frame change model.

ERROR #001100279 has occurred in subroutine ErrAction.
Message:
1 fatal error found in the problem setup.
ERROR #001100279 has occurred in subroutine ErrAction.
Message:
Stopped in routine CHECK_INIT

I am pasting the results in attachment.

Regards,
Piotr Zwolinski

Just like the error message says, you need to set a frame change model on your interface. Frozen rotor and transient rotor/stator are the most common choices, but others may be relevant depending on exactly what you are modelling.
