Dear all
i am trying to model propeller behind the hull as an actuator disk. For this i am modelling the disk as a momentum source. I have created the subdomain which contain the disk. The momentum per unit volume (a constant value for a moment) is given as input in x-dir. The streamline pattern obtained is very unusual. please do suggest the modifications. i have given a loss model also. In that permeability is on and area of the disk has been assigned. i have attached the streamline pattern. please help me. |

First of all - please do not duplicate post. I have removed the duplicate.
This looks to me like the flow has not fully developed yet. If this is a steady state model then you need to run longer to obtain convergence, if this is transient then you need to run more time steps to get the flow to develop. |
