Why can't the importing be done? What cannot handle the big file? What importing technique are you using?

Dear ghorrocks
Tecplot shows an error that has not enough memory. I try to import from the bottom path: File->load data files->Ansys CFX-> *.res |

Do you have the 64 bit version of Tecplot installed? Are you on a 64 bit OS?

Hi Hamed,
If you import your CFX results into Tecplot 360 as a .CGNS file you can select what specific zones and variables you want to import. This may allow you to get around any memory issues. You can generate a .CGNS file using the "Tools -> Export Results" menu in the ANSYS CFX solver manager. Also, there is a forum called Tecplot talk (www.tecplottalk.com) where you could ask advice if your still having problems. I don't know how active the forum is at the moment, but Tecplot staff/developers used to reply to posts quite frequently. Good luck, Dave |

Well, there you have the explanation of your problem. You need to get the 64 bit version of tecplot. You are currently limiting the size simulation you can display by using the 32 bit version.
