zx9cp is on a distinguished road
Hi all,

I am trying to simulate a wind tunnel containing a symmetrical NACA0012 foil. The foil is fixed to one end of the tunnel and is also shorter than the tunnel width, the free end sits around 50mm from the opposite tunnel wall.

I am trying to decompose the domain into as many sweepable bodies as possible but am having real problems when it comes to inflation.

Ive attached some images of my domain and the direction of sweeping, all sweeps are manual source and target face selections.

While I can generate a bulk mesh with my current set-up as soon as I try to inflate, it all seems to fall apart. I know I could just use tet mesh all over the foil in a single central region but I'd really like to use this as a chance to improve my meshing abilities. Surely I can limit tet mesh to just the blade free end?!

I am using the standard ANSYS mesher, available in CFX workbench.

Can anyone help?

Cheers,

Chris
