Hi all,
I'm doing a fluid structure interaction with Ansys WB 14.5. I want to use a ready meshed ICEM mesh. So i load it with the multizone option. I just change the blocking (i don't change the Geometry!) in icem, convert it to unstr. and close icem. Back to mechanical it cant create a mesh.

the message is: MultiZone could not generate a valid mesh.

Anybody can help me?

what did you change in the blocking?

I loaded a total new Blocking and renamed the part name of the new blockingmaterial to the old one, wich i replaced.

let me guess... you changed from multizone to hex-blocking?
i would highly recommend to use the standalone icem container instead of iceminteractive from within meshing.

btw: what´s your application since i am also into FSI.

I think the problem is that workbench cant read the mesh and fix it to geometry. I follow all the rules for interactive Editing.

Yes im doing hex-blocking in ICEM... I would prefer using only ICEM, but how can i get the mesh into workbench??

My Simulation is a transintent fluid signal witch interact with the a plate.
