Hello,
I need some clarification on the conservation of energy on a solid -porous interface with non-equilibrium porous medium model in CFX. I could not find these equations in CFX documentation. Literature search led me to this paper: http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/1...07780500430967 This paper mentions the equations for solid-porous interface as in the attached figure. Now 1) Does CFX use same equations for conservation of heat transfer on solid-porous interface? 2) The first equation equates temperature of solid (Ts) with average temperature of porous medium (Tpor). Now as per the third equation Tpor is a volume average of solid and fluid phase temperatures in porous medium. Shouldn't Tpor be a energy averaged temperature? i.e. the third equation modified as : Tpor = (rho_f*cp_f*epsilon*T_f + rho_s*cp_s*(1-epsilon)*T_s)por Thanks for your inputs |

Good question. I do not know so cannot help you. If it is not described in the documentation then I suspect you will have to discuss it with ANSYS support.
