Hello, I have a problem I will like you to help me solve it,
the problem is that I run my file (. def) on CFX-Slover Manager, meeting starts at calculated within seconds, but just after he displays the following message "An error has occurred in cfx5solve: The ANSYS CFX solver Could not be started, or exited with return Code 255. I did not find the source of this problem although I have to change a lot of settings but it changes nothing. |

Post the output. Usually there will be more information before the error code.

hi;there is no informations before the indication of the error , there is some calculations but not results ; did you know the cause of this error (returned code 255)??

The residual in the linear solution spiked right before the error code and it didn't get to solving the turbulence eqns. Most likely a linear solver problem due to an unstable setup. Check boundary conditions and physics setup. Make sure everything is reasonable. Try adaptive timestepping with 3-5 coefficient loops per timestep, so that the timestep is small enough. It's multiphase and often you need a pretty small timestep.
