I am facing a negative element volume problem in my simulation of a large deflection cantilever beam inside a microchannel.
I have successfully simulated the large deflection of the cantilever beam alone, without including it inside the microchannel. This is the error which i have: +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | ERROR #002100012 has occurred in subroutine cVolSec. | | Message: | | A negative ELEMENT volume has been detected. This is a fatal | | error and execution will be terminated. The location of the first | | negative volume is reported below. | | Volume : -0.2324E-19 | | Location : ( 0.81539E-02, 0.48932E-03, 0.22310E-04) | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | ERROR #001100279 has occurred in subroutine ErrAction. | | Message: | | CFX encountered the error: | | 0. A folded mesh has oc- | | curred. This process will shut down as soon as possible. | | | | | | | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ The location of the folded mesh is shown in the attached figures. Help please. |
