peterputer is on a distinguished road
Hej,
i m running a FSI calculation in labyrinth seals. Problem is that the distance between stator and labyrinth seal top is pretty small so that a contact is placed automatically by Ansys Mechanical, connecting Rotor and Stator at that point. At least thats my guess what that Notification is trying to tell me:
There is no auto contacting, does anyone know how i can set this off? In mechanical i just deleted the contact but it seems to be replaced after starting the calculation.
Any help is appreciated
Regards Peter

*** NOTE *** CP = 7.844 TIME= 21:46:35
It is highly recommended to use the auto contact setting option by
issuing CNCHECK,AUTO command for this problem in order to achieve
better convergence.

Force-distributed-surface identified by real constant set 3 and
contact element type 3 has been set up. The pilot node 72492 is used
to apply the force which connects to other element 15239. Internal
MPC will be built.
The used degrees of freedom set is UX UY UZ ROTX ROTY ROTZ

Force-distributed-surface identified by real constant set 5 and
contact element type 5 has been set up. The pilot node 72493 is used
to apply the force which connects to other element 15240. Internal
MPC will be built.
