Structural Analysis

Hi everyone,
Is it possible to do structural analysis in CFX and whether we can use the existing thermal field to calculate thermal stresses. |

No, you cannot do structural analysis in CFX as it is a Navier Stokes solver and those equations do not describe structural analysis (for most people anyway).
But CFX can be linked with the FEA solvers in the ANSYS suite so CFX does the fluid flow and the FEA solver does the structural stuff. This includes the thermal field. |

Look at the FSI workbench tutorials, available on the CFX community website.

Thank You, but can you tell me how to give time step in Transient Structural after I had imported the temperature loading from CFX.
