hi, i am from China, and i do the simulation with the ANSYS 14.0. when i do the simulation with the Electromagnetic Model, it appear as follow:
"In Analysis 'Flow Analysis 1' - Domain 'fluid': Simulations using the Electromagnetic Model require an ANSYS CFD MHD license. A case using the Electromagnetic Model can be set up in CFX-Pre, but will only be able to run in the solver with the required license available. Please contact your ANSYS representative for further details." my problems are: 1. when it is simulated, is it effect the results? 2. when the gas is added to the simulation, the error appears. though i revised the setup and mesh quantity ,the main work is reducing the time scale and enlarge the mesh. the error still appears. i don‘t know why? is there no ANSYS CFD MHD license? if it is,can you tell me, my Email is lzx_527.student@sina.com thank you very much! |

The important message is the first error. This is what triggered all the other warnings and errors. It also probably triggered some workbench errors as well. But ignore all of these later errors, the only important one is the first error. If you fix the first error all the other errors will resolve themselves.
The first error is an overflow error. This is an FAQ: https://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/Ansy...do_about_it.3F |

whether the grid quality is ok? it is high performance of the computer in the simulation. so when you contain the set of the computer is no problem, you can try a better computer.

I do not understand that comment.
If you are asking whether mesh quality can cause overflow errors, the answer is yes, it can. That is why improving mesh quality is always a good thing to do. |

Please post all questions on this issue on the forum. I do not answer CFD questions by PM, email or any other messaging app. All CFD questions should be posted on the forum.
It is unusual for the type of machine or the number of partitions to affect convergence. Most simulations have almost identical convergence on any machine with any number of partitions. So I do not think your overflow error is due to the computer system you used, it is more likely due to the way you set the simulation up. |

yes. most of all the situation is due to the set.
as my english is too bad, i think communication in chinese is more easier. just so so !sorrry!! |

I do not speak chinese, but I try to write in simple English which translates to chinese easily. The people on the forum know many people on the forum do not speak English fluently, so we all try our best to understand what you are saying.

I am having similar error of:
[Error #001100279 has occured in subroutine Erraction. Message: floating point exception:zero ] My cfx problem is a porous media simulation of membrane distillation of seawater. I have used cfx expression language to define the density, specific heat, dynamic viscosity and thermal conductivity of the material. During my first run of the solution, I found out cfx used kelvin as the default unit of temperature, so, I had to reconstruct my cel expressions and the above mentioned error popped up. Please how can I go about fixing this error?? Thank you very much for your awaiting replies. |

Thank you very much for your reply.
I have gone through the Ansys FAQ link you sent to me, and I have used the suggestions in the link but I still get the same error. Please does this problem has anything to do with mesh? Or what else are you suspecting is the cause of the error? |
