We have updated the software running CFD-Wiki to the latest MediaWiki 1.13.0 version. Hopefully everything should be working as before, but if you notice any problems please post here or email to webmaster@cfd-online.com.

For the moment we are running without some of the extra spam protections that Jonas installed a long time ago (spam blacklists, bad behavior extension and captcha tests). MediaWiki has got much better at handling spam so we though we would check to see if we can work without all these additional spam protections since they sometimes create extra problems for legitimate users. If spam becomes a big problem again we will install these extensions again.

Heya! I was thinking of contributing a 'special topic' (namely fluid dynamics of airborne virus transmission), but I don't seem to be able to login, strangely (I do have an account allowing me to login and post replies in the general forums). Any ideas what's going on with my account?

Just checked, behaviour is same for most-recent Chrome & Firefox. Do I need another account specifically for the 'Wiki' section?

Yes you need to register separately for CFD-Wiki.
