I get a warning while uploading a file. It basically says '.' is not a recognisable extension

Any ideas? It is a simple jpg picture

That is strange. I just tried to upload a jpg picture and it worked for me. Does your image filename end with ".jpg"? The Wiki only allows a few selected file-types (for security reasons).

Now it worked (I dunno why, I tried several times this morning) check the picture, tell me if you like it.

Looks great! Perhaps we should cut-off the legend and the coordinate system to the right and make the image a bit smaller ... I can fix that if you want. I'm home sick today so I have time.

Feel free to cut & chop, I will upload a similar one, basically the same but with a different variable plotted it may look a little better.

Yea, the new one perhaps looks a bit better. However, I have already rotated, cropped and scaled the previous image and included it in the featured article section on the front page. Please check that you think that it looks okay and please change the text if you want it to say something else. We can switch picture after a week or so to get some new attention.
