Hello there,
My name is Athanasios Niotis and I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Naval Architecture at the University of Strathclyde. In my project, I simulate the flooding of a ship after damage. I use the OpenFOAM ESI version coupled with the waves2FOAM for wave generation. What I want is to implement a new SixDoFRigidBodyMotion restrain where I will implement a harmonic excitation (moment) in the rigid body under investigation. The tricky part in this is how you access the runTime in order to calculate moment=A * cos(wmega*time). I am looking for an experienced programmer in OpenFOAM where we can have lessons to show me how to make the modification into the code. So I am not interested only in the new development but in establishing collaboration and getting a deeper understanding of OpenFOAM programming. Thank you, Athanasios Niotis |
