DEVELOPMENT OF SUPERSONIC INTAKES.
CRITICAL ANALYSES IS REQUIRED!!

I have an overwhelming amount of points to cover for this research area, basic understanding is required to justify principles such as:
boundary layer
shock waves
bernoulli
pressure recovery

CURRENT POSITION:
  • I have designed 4 different intakes on a base model of a supersonic airliner.
  • I have run Lift, Drag, L/D, L&D Coeffs SIMS for each as the first part of my analyses.
  • I intend to run sims at increased AoA to highlight delamination, boundary layer and extract as much data as possible from SCALAR images.
  • I have designed 2D Convergent-Divergent Nozzle to explain cross section relative to pressure.

To analyse the system it is important to understand problems that arise when designing this system. such as:
MACH 2 at intake needs to be reduced to Approx Mach.5 for compressor.
Sharp edges to reduce Reynold number(Laminar flow required).

i require further analyses of internal intake nacelle. BASIC 2D designs are accepted, proving:
Long length reduces Mach & Pressure figures.
Open Vents(variable intake) reduces Mach & Pressure figures.
S-Duct effects and analyses (maybe).

MAYBE YOU CAN HELP ME ADD TO THIS.
(Temperature is important to the system but not necessary in my findings, aslong as i can justify basic aerospace principles in my findings that is sufficient.)
any info in this field will not be overlooked tho.

ANY HELP IS GRATEFUL, but for specific files with a one-to-one discussion will be
rewarded.

any principles to add?
any design methods I can test myself?

THANKS IN ADVANCE.
private email upon request if u feel you can advise me in anyway!!

Whats the aim of this project? Do you want to pimp the F-35 jet so that it reaches the level of a Mig-21 one day
