Hi everyone:

Apologies--I posted a similar inquiry in the general forum before I knew about this freelancers forum.

I want to use OpenFOAM to deal with the compressible, viscous Navier-Stokes equations. I'd like to do nonisothermal, if possible.

As far as I know, it is possible to approach such problems with OpenFoam, but I would need advice on getting started and on dealing with such an advanced problem. I'm used to dealing with simpler problems. I have written my own transport code in C++ with Paraview, so the general setup is not that foreign to me; what I really need is help getting started. Would anyone be interested in writing me a tutorial / example and providing some advice?

This is for a fun / hobby application for now, so my budget is not large. If you are interested, please message me and we can talk about what you can provide for particular prices. I can also provide more detail, if needed.

Thanks a lot.

What exactly do you mean by "compressible, viscous navier stokes"? Do you have the exact set of equations that you want to solve? As far as I can tell, the viscous term fvm::laplacian(muEff,U) is automatically included in the turbulence model, along with any additional stress terms due to turbulence (if applicable). Could you be more specific about what you mean by "compressible, viscous" ?
