Hi everyone:

I want to start using OpenFOAM.

I have looked into official training, but the kind of targeted training I would need (help setting up a specific problem) is expensive. I can probably get funding for this later on, but I first need to show that OpenFOAM can be useful for me. So for now, my budget is limited. I don't have time to start from scratch, unfortunately.

So my question is, does anyone know whether there are people (independent contractors) who provide help in setting up specific problems? What I need is an example of a compressible, non isothermal flow problem. I also need to know what OpenFOAM can do and what it can't as far as this type of problem. I'm pretty new to compressible, non-isothermal flow, so it would be great to get in touch with someone who is experienced in dealing with this type of problem specifically.

I would really appreciate any advice that anyone has. I have looked into this every few months and have never found anyone who does this sort of consulting independently, so am at a bit of a standstill. Thanks a lot for any help!

Hi,

I have particular experience with the compressible solvers in OpenFOAM and have completed consultancy projects using them. I'd be happy to discuss your specific requirements and perform an initial simulation to demonstrate the capability cost effectively for you.

If you would like to talk more, please drop me a line at info@momentum-analysis.co.uk.

Best Regards,

Simon.
