Hi everybody,
I want to simulate a dual fuel combustion but I cant prepare the mixture. to explain the matter more clearly, I want to have a constant volume vessel filled by Methane, then inject a spray of diesel. after arranging all parameters, unfortunately Methane is emerging from nozzle not Diesel. All your kind efforts are highly appreciated in advance. Regards, hamed |

I could help you, if you can send me your ssf file. Hope you are using Spray Module for Diesel Injection? Are you using diesel ignited gas engine or General Gas Phase Reaction ( Chemical kinetics). If you are using Diesel Ignited Gas Engine model, then Diesel would be evaporated into Methane and auto ignition calculations are done only on cells having Equivalence Ratio above user specified value /average. I assume in those rich zone properties of Diesel are being used for auto ignition calculations. If you need additional details, please contact me at mailforvenkat@yahoo.com
