Hello all,
I wonder if someone could advise a new user to CFDesign. I am trying to transfer a SW assembly 2010 over to CFDesign V9, previously I used V8, and the model transferred fairly easily, from memory there was a button on SW that opened the new file automatically. When I save the model as a parasolid it becomes a collection of surfaces rather than a collection of solid entities. Is it possible to transfer the model as a solid, so I can select which parts are fluids and which are solids? Is there a website that you can recommend that would show a newish user how to do this? Thanks in advance, Dan |

dan,
There would be a button in SWx for the versions of SWx that CFdesign V9 supports. V9 ended in ~2008 such that it would not have the launcher for SWx2010. You would either need to update to a newer version (Currently as Simulation CFD 2014 and notably improved over v9) or you will have to continue using parasolids. As far as the parasolids saving only surfaces, you might look in to the parasolid options within SWx to see what is selected and how the geometry is being built |
