I have installed ANSYS 13 on suse, but I cannot load license file. When i try to load the license I get "invalid license file: the hostid of this machine does not match the hostid in the license file". The license is created by AP_13Calc.exe and it has correct structure [host name and mac adress are ok]. Does anybody know how to fix it?
Thank you, skrzat |

Can you see the FLEXID when you click "Display the License Server Machine Hostid" in the "anslic_admin" utiliy?. If not (probably) you must install the "lsb" package. As referenced in the Installation and Licensing Documentation Pag. 61.
It works for me. Last edited by alquimista; November 2, 2011 at 07:41. Reason: Error in the name of the package |

"TheLinux Standard Base (LSB) is a joint project by several Linux distributions under the organizational structure of the Linux Foundation to standardize the software system structure, including the filesystem hierarchy, used with Linuxoperating system. The LSB is based on the POSIXspecification, the Single UNIX Specification, and several other open standards, but extends them in certain areas."
For CentOS I think that you need install redhat-lsb: yum install redhat-lsb |

Hi
i have just installed Ansys on Linux and i was getting the same error with the license file(that the host name is not the same as the machine). i downloaded lsb. i tried using the license file again but the same error occurred. i would like to know what i have to do next to install the license file on Linux. I think you should edit the file /etc/hosts and add "127.0.0.1 yourhostname" in a new line! Good Luck!
