Running a simulation and once convergences has been achieved i click on check case and get a message saying that my mesh cell skewness is greater than 0.98 and that i need to improve the mesh. can someone define what this means pleas?

first Question:

Which software did you use for the mesh? ICEM or AnsysMeshing.

If you used AnsysMeshing to generate the mesh, the Skwness must be lower than 0.95 (For ICEM, i am not queite sure, but you can also do followings), so that avoid the bad mesh quality.

Try to do followings:

1: Try to smooth the mesh with Smooth Option: Fine; but do not change the mesh size. After meshing, check the mesh quality skwness again. If the mesh quality is still higher than 0.95, then

2: reduce the mesh size (Surface mesh size and groth rate ratio), but still with Mesh Option: Fine.

I am using AnsysMeshing. I have managed to improve the mesh quality to around 0.85 cell skewness I would like to improve the quality further.
