ANSYS help required with commands or macro urgently

Hey all
i'm an intern and I have to put some 260 hard points into ANSYS and I just don't have the time to do it individually as I dont have the time. can anyone tell me HOW TO:- INPUT HARD POINTS INTO FROM AN INPUT FILE (.xls excel sheet) ON ANSYS OR SOME KIND OF COMMAND FOR CREATING HARD POINTS FAST N EASY OR HELP ME (JUST GUIDE ME WITH THE RIGHT INFO) ON HOW TO WRITE A MACRO TO DO JUST THAT PLZZZZ HELP NEEDED BADLY will get screwed proper hard if I mess this up ..... so plzz guys some help |

ANSYS can be a vague word? It is really the name of the company and doesn't clarify which product you are using.
I am not an ANSYS Mechanical APDL (AKA "ANSYS Classic" or "BlackWindow ANSYS") expert, so for that question I suggest contacting TECH support or cracking open a dusty manual... But if you mean in Workbench... more Specifically in DesignModeler... Go to File => Create => Point... In the details panel (bottom left), change the type to "construction point" and the "Definition" to "From Coordinates File". You can look up the exact file format in the help, I think it was just X Y Z. |
