Hi all,
I have a very big problem. I have an desktop with 12Gb memory ram, and intel i7 proc quad core. I have installed on him ANSYS12 on Windows7 64 bit. On him I must to run a problem which implicates aprox 3 milion elements both with very much contacts. In this moment runnin only couple 1.200.000 elements. The model runnnig direct solver and out of core. On my desktop I used two hard disk on 500Gb every hard (buffer of 32 bit). The hard disks is not used in raid. I observed that the physical memory is consumed, and running from hard disk like virtual memory. In this moment, the model is running from 36 hours and made only 3 iteration ( with 1.200.000 elements both with contacts). Must made different settups ? I waiting much early is possible your suggestion or ideeas which can offers me an solution to my problem. Best regards
