Good Evening,

First of all, sorry for this tedious question that im sure most of you can answer in a flash but it seems the answer has not come to me yet.

I am modelling part of my RC Water Tank in ansys using shell elements for the walls as instructed. I wish to apply loads on my walls on both faces for both the soil pressures and internal water pressures for which I have calculated. I have line equations for the Load to Height of wall for the water pressures and I have calulated the graph for my soil pressures and compaction.

I have explored ansys and searched tutorials for a while trying to implement these loads on my walls using:

Loads>>define loads>>settings>> for surface load>> gradient

but I cannot seem to apply the load to my wall (area).

If someone could offer any advice I would be very grateful.

Thanks for reading,

Matt

if anyone has an idea of how to apply a linear or non-constant pressure across an Area any advice would be appreciated! thanks.
