Thanks everybody this forum is wonderfull, let me ask you something about FLOTRAN:
I´d like solve an easy problem consisting of a liquid flow through a rectangular duct (2d,fluid141) passing around and elliptical obstacle (solid) like this: http://s4.subirimagenes.com/otros/pr...1096dibujo.jpg My questions are: 1) As exactly was defined in the draw from above is it possible to obtain with flotran the trajectory of mass flow around a solid obstacle? Do I have to define that ellipse as a solid material and running this as multisolver analysis or its enough define the ellipse as a "hole" in the middle of the liquid because I´m only interesting on the trajectory of the mass flow not in the interaction with the solid. 2) Is there any way to remesh the liquid mesh according the direction of the velocity vectors or streamlines? 3) Is it possible carrying out such analysis on 3d using only flotran. Sorry for the questions Im a begginer, thank you very much for your answers. |
