Hello CFD experts,
I am using FLUENT to simulate the flow around a 2D cylinder. However, I don't use any turbulent model, leave it as laminar calculation. Because the laminar simulation can pick up the turbulent nature of the flow. This is sometimes known as the "LES without sub-grid model". Now, I would like to roughly estimate the size of those turbulence as a guide for later meshing of other models. Could anybody suggest any parameters to took at in order to estimate the turbulent scale? Thank you very much indeed, Francis |
