Hi elbasharat,

Fortunatly, I downloaded ANSYS 12.1 Linux 64. Unfortunatly, like in usualy case, the "license" is not valid for the computer where is installed ANSYS. The reason is very simple: the "license" is made in a manner in which can function only on computer on which is made. In this case my option is to use an license which is used on windows platform, and compare it. The modifications must be made on host name and computer number.

The second option is to use an license generator, like for older version of ANSYS.

If you have other ideea, dont hesitate to write me here, or on my email adress: mefeagroup@hotmail.com.

Best regards.

Hi to all,

Finaly I install the ANSYS 12.1 beta Linux 64 on laptop. The license it was generated using license generator from ANSYS 12 WIN 32. To install the license I used wine software. Everything works fine, and I launch the Launcher panel, where I settup :
- Simulation Environment : ANSYS
- License : ANSYS MULTIPHYSICS / LS-DYNA

After that I run ANSYSLIC_ADMIN where I restart the License Manager and I Reread the license.

Everything works fine, but after I push to ¨Run¨ button, I obtained the next error:

Feature: ane3flds
FLEXnet Licensing error: -25,147

I waiting much early is possible your suggestion or some help.

Thanks in advance for support and advice.

Best regards.

dear friend.. I dont know why you have this problem with you over windows environment... I m only here for linux that is really big issue for the most linux users over CFD...

anyways... have you got ansys 12.1 windows 32 or 64? and including it has lic generator also. you should reinstall your windows and then install ansys again. i wil work fine.. and whenever you run ansys you should close your network card or connection.

tell me if you are concerned with linux... have you got any info regarding ansys over linux????

and and you can easily download win softwares but never linux's...

Ok I have ansys 12.1 and windows 7 32bit (Magnitude with license generator). I can't reinstall my windows because I have more programs and now I'm working on project to my work connecting with mechanical contact. I think that issue was easy to solve
previously I have ansys 12 and works great I haven't any problem with it. I read on other forums and people and complain of this problem but I haven't seen any solution.

Hi marbro,

In this moment I think is about the version of ANSYS which you have installed on your computer. I used ANSYS 12 on Windows 7 64bit, and works very well, and I am linked to internet too.

From my experience, after I read some problems with diverse forums, I sugested (unfortunately for you) to reinstall your windows, blocked firewall and all other security programs, and after that reinstall your ANSYS ( if is original version from your faculty, etc). If you have obtained ANSYS from download (from torrents), that means from your version mess something.

I'm sorry because my sugestion don't help you in some manner.
If you resolve your problem without reinstallation of windows, please posted here the manner in which resove it.

Best regards.
