I am starting a new project of blood flow in brain.
I want to know if Fluent/Ansys can handle the moving boundary condition problem with rigid walls. Also as a first phase project it is only going to be newtonian fluid. I do have a 3-D meshed model of heart so I just need to import it. Please advice for any other suitable CFD software as I have not yet started working |

Just curious, what's the "moving boundary condition problem on rigid wall"?

It's my bad. first it is going to be rigid walls and then in the further analysis it will be a viscoelastic or similar and then comes the moving boundary I guess.
I have just started working and I am not sure if I am correct. Do you have any knowledge working with FSI?? thank you in advance. |

regarding FSI modeling of blood flow, the following link may be helpful.

Ansys Multiphysics is the easiest and robust way to go. Multiphysics come with CFX and Ansys Mechanical to perform FSI with a very easy setup.
We use it every day. Fluent can of course do the same but not as easy as Ansys-CFX combination yet. Though it is in the plans to have more easy 2 way FSI setup for Fluent as well. |
