Hi all,
Attached is a photo of the geometry in-question. It is a 2D-cross section of a rocket engine, with a singular "pie" slice chosen for analysis out of some 90 slices (The pink is representative of what the entire cross section should look like). To set-up the structural boundary conditions, I wanted to emulate the missing "pie" slices by setting up the cyclic boundary conditions; however, the solver keeps arriving at "under constrained / contact-related issues". When done with frictionless supports on both sides, the model is able to be solved. I just want to know why the cyclic symmetry region is failing? The cyclic coordinate system is shown and is placed at the origin of the model. https://imgur.com/rHeULS7 Another issue was with the 2D Behavior, it's at plane stress right now but I wasn't too sure how to setup the axisymmetric or general axisymmetric behaviors as those were yellowed out.
