Hello,
I am a student creating a mesh for the main rotor work chamber of a screw compressor. I am using ICEM because my Task is to make a structured Hex Mesh. First I constructed the Chamber and help Survaces to orientate the O-Grid with Inventor, than i exported it as a .STP After this i open ICEM, go to Settings-->Model/units and choose Millimeters as the Unit and set my Tolerances to 0.0000001. Than I got to File-->Import Model so the constructed Chamber appears. After importing the model I create the parts and go to pre-mesh-params. I vary the pre-mesh-params until the mesh looks good. https://ibb.co/5GbdGDx Then I go to "find worst elements" and check for volume. in the pre mesh all volumes are positive. after I convert the mesh to an unstructured mesh and go to "check mesh", there are many cells with non-positive volume. https://ibb.co/J51LvPv I have already read some things, but have not found a solution How can i fix the problem ? thanks for your help |
