I have a turbine blade geometry & i want to add thermal barrier coating
(3 coat layer with different thickness). I tried many softwares & ansys geometry also. After adding three coat layer with surface offset method (surface with face) & added thickness in outward direction. when i add only one layer then it's fine but when i add three layer & save it in iges file then again import in ansys geometry, automatically so many (more than original one) surface & body created in ansys. Kindly tell me the correct procedure. |

Problem Solved, when I saved in parasolid format (text or binary) instead of iges. If we create solid body from surface body, i.e, coating then it must be saved in parasolid format to retain the file otherwise in iges format automatically so many redundant surface & bodies will generate
