Hi,
I am planning to work on a project to couple ANSYS and Python to automate the Design Exploration task. I am also thinking to use a GA to optimize the geometry. Outline as follows: 1.Parametric model in ANSYS Spaceclaim/DM 2.Model is automatically meshed 3.It is then fed into Fluent to obtain the results which are written to an output file. (Batch mode) 4.The python code reads the output from the file and calculates fitness. 5.Does Crossover mutation etc. 6.Writes the new parameters to an input file. 7.Which is then read by Ansys, steps 1-6 are repeated until convergence. Please note the geometry is modified in each generation of GA. Is ACT a good option for this, and I don't quite understand the journalling method? Also, I am a beginner and would like to know how to proceed with the problem? It would be great if you could share the source code of any similar project? Thanks in advance |
