Hello guys,

I am trying to perform a simulation on ANSYS FORTE of a 2 stroke engine. I followed their tutorial, but in the tutorial the geometry was already ready, so I just needed to import it to FORTE as STL file. The problem is: now I tried to do my own geometry on Design Modeler, but I can't export this geometry in any type of file that FORTE can import. I opened the geometry on ANSYS Mesh and create the named selections and then tried to export it as STL File, but it is possible just if I gerenate the mesh.. and FORTE generates it automalically. I generated the mesh there and exported, then I imported the STL file in FORTE and it didn't work. Do you guys know how to create a geometry to use in ANSYS FORTE?

Yes, I did. But then I faced other problems later. I gave up using ANSYS FORTE. It is good and everything but very hard to use. You need to go through many specific steps to make it work. You have to look for these steps in separate places (ANSYS Tutorials). When you have ANSYS FORTE opened, there's a button there that you can have access to these tutorials. Good luck!

Thanks for the fast response! I followed some of the tutorials and also read the theory manual from ansys but at the tutorials the geometry its pretty simple or its provided in .stl, do you still remember how u managed to import from spaceclaim or other cad?

Thanks in advance!

Btw im brazilian and it seems you are too so if u really are and wish to speak in portuguese no problems haha

Opa, beleza.

No fds eu tento.

Qualquer coisa ajudo no fds.
