Hello everyone,

I have some doubts regarding the multiple surface reaction model of Smith.

In other models (kinetic/diffusion, intrinsic, diffusion) we specify heat of reaction for burnout and stoichiometric ratio. In multiple surface reaction model we do not.

Can anyone explain to me why?

In the User guide I found that: "You will notice that the Burnout Stoichiometric Ratio and Heat of Reaction for Burnout are no longer available in the Create/Edit Materials dialog box, as these parameters are now computed from the particle surface reactions you defined in the Reactions dialog box."

But the question is how are they computed !! And does this mean that for the other models only the combustion reaction is considered? But I still can define other particle reactions for other models too in Reaction dialog box.

What if I define a reaction in the reaction dialog box that is endothermic? How will fluent know that it is endothermic?

All the best in the New Year 2020!

Thanks in advance
