Hi all,
I am trying to combine ansys with some external application I developed. My application calculates the volume heat source, heat generation rate, and can export nodal or element wise loads in some ASCII file. In steady-state analysis, this isn't a problem as there is a single load file. But in transient thermal analysis, I need to update the load file when some criteria are met, and need to feed back to my program the temperature profile as some material properties change to temperature. I know I can use /SYS to call an external app. The problem is I don't know how I could communicate with ansys to wait until the file is created and resume control and then in a future time step wait until the file is updated and etc. I am using pyansys, a python library, to control ansys in batch mode, I don't have license to Matlab. Thank you all in advance |
